Can you say "spoiled rotten?"

Caelynn looks so spoiled in her little Christmas outfit that mom and I made for her. We both took turns putting this together and I think it came out so adorable! Mom also painted her a mtaching tote to carry all her little goodies. Our friend Teri made the awesome bows! We had her model it so we can sell it next year. She was not a nice girl that day, but you wouldn't know it by looking at the pics. I guess that is all I can hope for.

Ho! Ho! Ho!

We went to visit Santa Friday night in Jacksonville. The line was awful! And we didn't get to see the big guy until about 9:00 PM. I thought the kids would be terrible waiting in that line for so long, but they were actually really good! In line....once we got up to the stage, it was a different story.

There are stairs that lead up to the stage and you can go up when you have only one more person ahead of you. So they are so excited and we head up the stairs. I'm not exactly sure what transpired while walking up the 5 steps, but Parker and Caelynn attacked each other and went rolling and wrestling across the stage to Santa. I pulled them up and with a very stern talking to, i thought I handled the situation. Well, they have these HUGE over sized toys all over the stage. They are great props, but not so good when your 3 yr old daughter decides to pick them up and try to hurl them all off the stage at unsuspecting shoppers.

I had to do a mama freak out on them in the middle of the mall. I just couldn't believe they had been so good this whole time and they start acting like this when we are 6 feet away from Santa! I said, " Are you CRAZY!! He is RIGHT there! You are SOOOOO getting coal for Christmas!" Well that straightened them out.

Santa was very lifelike. Parker was sure that it was the "Real" Santa and not just one of his liaisons. When he first saw Santa he said, " I see that Santa straightened his beard today. It looks good!"

I just got a visual of Santa in front of the mirror using a hair straightener. haha

We were happy to have finally gotten to see Santa. We tried 3 times last year and every time we went, Santa was gone, or the line was a trillion people long. So we never got to see him.

I snapped a couple pics from the side, No one is looking at me b/c I thought they should probably all look at the lady charging $19.99 for two 5x7 pics. Craziness!

Target or Walmart? The eternal debate.

Hmmm....what a choice! Since I live out in the boonies (that's how us country folks say "small town") , I don't have many choices of where to shop. Target is much farther from Walmart but they do have some good qualities....



1. Target has good shoes, good clothes, and great home decor items.



2. They have cool organic foods in neat packaging that makes me feel like I am all designer and trendy.



3.Target is pretty....just admit it.



4. The stuff just seems nicer. The price is not nicer, but the stuff is so bright and fun!



5. I can pronounce it like I'm a 60 yr old Frenchman. Tar-Jay. It makes me feel cultured and it makes my kids look at me like I have 3 heads. Oh...don't judge...you know you do it too.





Walmart also has a lot of good points. I read a blog that stated some good points about Walmart and here they are...



1.Walmart is much more convenient.


2. Target didn’t feel the need to stock any girls’ size 3 red long-sleeve shirts or turtlenecks this holiday season.


3. Walmart had fleece pajama bottoms on sale for FOUR DOLLARS. They really need a slogan like “We’re Rolling Back Prices” or something clever like that.


4. At some point Target began to feel that it was the new Nordstrom. They got a little arrogant and started charging upwards of $19.99 for their Mossimo goods.


5. Every time I’m at Walmart and I see their “George” brand of clothing it makes me think about John F. Kennedy, Jr. because he had that magazine named “George”. I realize these two things are totally unrelated but it’s how my mind works.
Plus, you know when the Kennedy family got tired of hanging out at their Hyannis Port compound, they loaded up in the car and headed to Walmart for a corn dog.


6. If you shoplift at Walmart, you’ll still get chased down by an overweight security guard in orthopedic shoes and an ill-fitting uniform, the way God intended shoplifters to get caught. Whereas if you shoplift at Target, they’ll send this after you.

It’s all so high-tech.


7. Walmart still has all those ghetto rides by the door which are where quarters go to die. Just the sight of them makes me feel all warm and nostalgic.


I’ll still shop at Target because I do love to check out the Mossimo apparel.
I also still have a deep longing to see the Asset Protection Device in action.
Rumor has it that the security guard even wears a helmet.
And that alone is worth the 20 extra minutes it takes to get to Target.

And if you are my friend, you'll bail me out of jail when I finally get to see the Asset Protection Device in action. :)

Caelynn's 3rd Birthday Party

We had Caelynn's birthday party a couple weeks ago. I know her birthday isn't until the 21st, but we wanted to get it out of the way before the holidays.

She had a princess tea party. Everything was pink, they played dress-up, had "pink tea" cookies, brownies, and pink cupcakes with pink sprinkles. They all seemed to love dressing up and pretending to be royalty. Even Parker had fun.

Caelynn got some really cute presents. One of her little boy friends got her a pair of Princess crocs. She has worn then everyday since the party. I just have to arrange her outfit around those shoes. But she ADORES them!

We didn't take too many pictures since we were so busy. But of course I have a few.

Busy..busy...busy

Wow...I have been super busy the last week or so. I will be busy this week to, but Im trying to wrap things up. I have lots to blog about and pictures to post....just runing short on time to do it. I promise to post some good readin' soon.

Christmas Time!

YAY! its time for Christmas! I just love pulling out all the Christmas decorations and getting in the Christmas spirit. I love the holiday shopping(of course), the Christmas music playing everywhere, the smell of cinnamon and spice, the beautiful lights, and the Christmas movies on TV.

But what I love the most is seeing my kids enjoy it all. They just love all the talk of Santa and baby Jesus. They love the lights and are genuinely excited every night when I turn our Christmas lights on. They try to be good so they don't get put on the naughty list.

We put up our decorations right after Thanksgiving. I just thought I would take a couple pics to show all my blogland buddies.

P.S. I asked the kids to pick out their favorite ornaments and these are the ones that they chose.
