Come On...Sing it with me! Actually..Those are the only words I know. Our little crew spent most of last week camping at Suwanee River State Park. The park is not as big as some, but it is beautiful! Very shady and wooded. The river is gorgeous! Although it was hot, we still had a great time. This was the maiden voyage for our new camper and everything went smoothly.
The kids had a great time. We went fishing twice. Well once we all went and the second time just Mike and Parker went. Taking Caelynn fishing was like dropping bombs on a quiet country town. She basically slammed her princess fishing pole into the water as hard as she could. Over and over she slammed it and jerked it out. She didnt understand why she wasn't catching any fish. So as expected, she lost interest very quickly. As we all know....it is never a good idea to leave Caelynn up to her own devices. She took off her shoes and stepped into the water. I saw no harm in this, so I just let her be. And like a big dummy, I took my eyes off her for a minute and there they went. Her two brand new bright pink shoes floating down the Suwannee River. She cried for me to get them, but that river becomes very deep about 3 feet from shore. They were also already about 20 Feet out. Mike tried his best to snag them with his fishing pole. But despite his best efforts, he was unable to become an expert angler in 30 seconds. So he did the next best thing. He asked some nice boaters if they would retrieve them and bring them to us. They agreed, but when Caelynn saw them put her shoes in thier boat...she FREAKED OUT!! She screamed and cried at them to "GIVE BACK HER SHOES!!" She didnt stop screaming until she saw her beloved shoes in Mike's hands again. Amazingly, the shoes never seperated. They stayed right next to each other the whole time they were floating down the river.

Parker had a good time fishing. He is actually really good at casting the line. He gets it out really far. He fished longer than Caelynn, but he got bored after about 10 minutes and started running as fast has he could down the shore line and throwing dirt into the water. Poor Mike was still trying to fish. I figured if he caught anything, it would have to be the dumbest fish in the world. Our kids were screaming and splashing so loud. I suspect that there wasnt a fish any
where near us. But we still had a great time. We cooked smores and roasted marshmallows. We also hiked a couple trails. One lead out to this beautiful balanced Rock. You can see the family standing near the rock. They are tiny, so you can see how big this was. It was really pretty at this park.

He loves to be outside and riding in the hiking backpack. He was very happy the whole time we were there. Im sure we will do this lots more. Here are some more pics. You'll have to excuse the poor quality. I have something wrong with my camera right now and it is taking bad pics. If anyone wants to camp with us, just let us know and we'll set up a time to go out and do it.
